Start with the statement. Want the full look? Pick a patterned suit and keep the shirt and tie simple. Rather keep it classic? Go navy or green and bring the personality with a patterned shirt. Check the dress code too: if your prom is black tie, a tuxedo is the move.

Getting the fit right
